Casablanca - Casablanca /10 days-9 nights

Day 1 : Welcome in Casablanca and transfer to Fez

Day 2 : Fès

After breakfast, you’ll start your journey by visiting the most amazing places in Fez: the Medina (old city), its walls and narrow streets; the famous medieval tanneries, the Karaouine Mosque founded in 859 by Fatima Al-Fihri, which is considered the most beautiful and interesting historic and religious monument of the city. Lunch break. In the afternoon, visits to other outstanding monuments: the tombs of the Marinid period, situated on the rim of the valley and the stunning architectural masterpiece Medersa Bou Inania; madrassas such as Attarin, and the fountain of Neijarin. We’ll also visit the Fondouks, a place where donkeys meet their owners as well as the souks where you can find handicrafts, food, spices, copper objects and pottery. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 3 : Fes - Meknes

IIn the morning we’ll be heading towards Meknes (one of Morocco’s Imperial cities) where you’ll visit the Medina of Meknes and see its walls and stables as well as the Tomb of Moulay Ismail, who ordered the construction of the city’s impressive walls and gates, the Square of Lehdim and the Gate of Bab Al Mansur which is decorated with Almohad patterns and zellij mosaics. Eventually you’ll enjoy a lunch break and then you’ll make off for Volubilis to discover the Roman ruins and the hill town of Moulay Idriss, a pilgrimage place for the people of Morocco. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 4 : Meknes - Azrou – Midelt - Errachidia - Merzouga

After breakfast, we’ll leave Meknes for Merzouga, passing by Ifran, a winter resort in Morocco, then Azrou, known for its green tiled roofs and beautiful cedar woods which are home for a local variety of monkeys. Next, we’ll take you to Midelt to enjoy a good lunch. We’ll continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains where we’ll have the opportunity to meet the nomads living there. As you’ll approach Errachidia, you’ll be stunned by the sight of black volcanic rocks and the spectacular cliffs of the Ziz Valley surrounded by palm trees. The next stop will be Erfoud where you’ll visit a marble factory with a variety of decorating objects. We’ll head on towards our final destination of the day - Merzouga. Overnight with dinner and accommodation in a hotel.

Day 5 : Merzouga-Erg Chebbi - Khamlia

IAfter breakfast, you’ll be picked up at your hotel to be taken to the dunes close to the Algerian border where you can also see black volcanic rocks and take interesting photos. You may meet nomad families as well and get a glimpse of their nomadic lifestyle. Next, your itinerary will pass through tiny Berber villages like Tamrdanite before reaching Khamlia. In Khamlia (typical tiny desert village) you’ll enjoy listening to the spiritual Gnawa music played by the black inhabitants of the village. On your way to the hotel, you’ll be marveled by the sight of the Lake Ait Sareji (especially in spring), which attracts pink flamingos and many other species of birds. Back to the hotel to rest and get ready for an adventure - camel trekking in the heart of the desert. On your way to the campsite, you’ll enjoy the spectacular sunset over the dunes. Eventually, you’ll enjoy a Berber dinner while listening to the drums in a starry night. Overnight in a traditional tent (made of camel hair) in calmness and tranquility.

Day 6 : Merzouga - Rissani - Erfoud - Tinjdad – Tinghir

The camel driver will wake you up early in the morning to watch the stunning sunrise in the desert, later you’ll get back to the campsite for a hearty breakfast and eventually ride back to the Auberge for a refreshing shower. We’ll then get back on the road heading for Rissani through the Ksours and Kasbahs of the Tafilalet. We’ll visit the Moulay Ali El-Charif Zaouia, a mausoleum celebrating the founder of the Glaoui dynasty and eventually wander about the Rissani’s local market and its traditional souks. Later, we’ll continue towards Tinghir, passing through Erfoud/Arfoud and Tinjdad where you’ll enjoy lunch. Our final destination of the day is Tinghir where you can have a walk in the stunning palmeraie (palm grove oasis). Accommodation, dinner and breakfast in a Kasbah. .

Day 7 : Vallée de Tinghir - Skoura – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey through the Vallée du Dadès and its marvelous scenery. We’ll then take the route of the ‘thousand Kasbahs’ accessible only in 4x4 vehicles, passing through amazing Berber villages such as Boutaghrar. You’ll have the opportunity to meet nomads who live in caves. Our itinerary continues towards El Kelaa M'gouna (Valley of Roses) where we’ll stop for lunch. We’ll head on towards Ouarzazate along the beautiful palmeraie (palm grove oasis) of Skoura, where you can see many authentic Kasbahs like the Amerhidil Kasbah. Arrival in Ouarzazate, overnight in a hotel.

Day 8 : Ouarzazate - Tizi n’Tichka - Marrakech.

After breakfast, on our way to Marrakech, we’ll visit the Atlas film studios, among the largest movie studios in the world, where films such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy and The Man Who Would Be King, were made. The next stop will be a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage - the exotic Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou. We’ll continue our itinerary across the Tizi n'Tichka Pass and the High Atlas Mountains, with several stops to enjoy the wonderful panorama. Lunch in the Berber village of Teddart. Arrival in Marrakech. Accommodation, dinner and breakfast in a riad or hotel.

Day 9 :  Marrakech.

After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a whole day in Marrakech for a full immersion in the magical ‘red city’. Lunch in the Medina followed by visits to the most beautiful palaces and monuments of the city, such as the 19th century Bahia Palace, the 16th century Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Majorelle Gardens. You’ll also enjoy wandering about the famous Souks of Marrakech, where merchants sell a large variety of items: carpets, leather, tissues, clothes, spices, kaftans…Overnight and breakfast in a hotel or riad.

Day 10 :  Casablanca

After breakfast, transfer to the Airport of Casablanca (if required).
